ALUMINUM XHHW -2 APPLICATIONS AND USES:
1X Technologies 1000/600 Volt Type XHHW-2 is intended for use as general-purpose wiring for up to 1000 volt rated services in air conduit or other recognized raceways for services, feeders, and branch circuit wiring as specified in the National Electrical Code at a maximum conductor temperature of 90 °C in wet or dry locations. For Direct Burial applications please order XLP-USE Aluminum.
ALUMINUM XHHW -2 BUILDING WIRE PRODUCT FEATURES:
- Compact stranded 8000 Series aluminum alloy conductor. Insulation is an abrasion, moisture, heat, and sunlight resistant black cross-linked polyethylene.
- The cable can be installed without pulling lubricant.
- Sizes 1/0 AWG and larger are CT Rated.

CONSTRUCTION:
1X Technologies Type XHHW-2 aluminum conductors are AA-8000 series aluminum alloy, compact stranded. The insulation is an abrasion, moisture, and heat-resistant thermoset cross-linked polyethylene. Conductor sizes 6 AWG and larger are listed and marked sunlight resistant in all colors.
COLORS:
- Sizes 6 to 1 gauge are stocked in Black, White, Red, Blue, and Green.
- Sizes 1/0 to 1000 MCM stocked in all the above colors plus Brown, Yellow, Orange, Gray, Green, and Purple.
