APPLICATIONS AND USES FOR BUS DROP CABLES:

For use as drop cable from overhead bus duct to floor machines. Installed quickly without the use of conduit for fixed or temporary power. Easily disconnected and connected when machines are moved. Resistant to oil, grease, acids, cutting fluids, and mechanical abuse. Often used to wire pendant switches, this cable hangs from an overhead connection. It’s also known as a drop-down cable.

 

1XTECH® BUS DROP CABLE SPECIFICATIONS:

1. CONDUCTOR: Stranded, bare, soft copper.
2. INSULATION: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC), color-coded black, white, red per UL 83.
3. ASSEMBLY: Three insulated conductors and three uninsulated ground wires are cabled together with one ground wire in each interstice, jute filled, wrapped with a suitable separator. 4. OVERALL JACKET: Gray polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
4. AMPACITY: Based on not more than three conductors in raceway or cable or earth per the NEC 310-16 at a conductor temperature of 60°C and an ambient temperature of 30°C.
5. TEMPERATURE:  -20°C to 75°C – #14-#8   |   -20°C to 60°C – #6-#2
6. VOLTAGE: 600 Volts & 2000 Volts
