About 10Awg – Ul1277 – VNTC Cable
VNTC is by far the most popular Tray Cable we sell at 1X. It is used across all industries.
VNTC is Wire & Cable “Code” for Vinyl Nylon Tray Cable.
Just as its name indicates VNTC is a Tray Cable that has a Plastic type of Jacket.
VNTC tray cable is also referred to as THHN/PVC Tray Cable. Why?
Because the inner conductors are made from THHN (Thermoplastic High Heat Nylon), or TFFN/PVC (Thermoplastic Flexible Fixture Nylon).
PVC jackets from 1X offer you an excellent value and deliver super high moisture resistance in general industrial applications where environments are not overly harsh. Most 600V and medium-voltage power cable in industrial applications is protected by PVC jackets.
Cost-conscious buyers specify PVC wherever they can. Because of its durability and broad spectrum of uses VNTC is a great option for your project that needs Tray Cable installed.
Customers move up to CPE (chlorinated polyethylene), or other compounds that offer protections from more harsh conditions when their trusty VNTC won’t do the trick. More than 70% if the time, VNTC will be the preferred Tray Cable.

10Awg – Ul1277 – VNTC Cable can be installed in a variety of conduits, ducts, raceways, and cable tray systems. 10Awg – Ul1277 – VNTC Cable is flame retardant, sunlight resistant, and is often used in hazardous environments and can even be buried or installed in Exposed Runs as it is TC-ER rated.
Your 10Awg – Ul1277 – VNTC Cable is ideal for any industrial and commercial applications, but can be used in just about any building application that doesn’t require extreme durability. For those instances when you need a product designed for extra harsh usage you will want to order an XLP, CPE, or EPR Tray Cable.
