Fire Alarm MC Cable Types: 

• Type MC Fire Alarm Control Cable: 1X Technologies MC Fire Alarm Control Cable is constructed with soft-drawn copper and classified as type TFN (Sizes 18 & 16 AWG) conductors. Sizes with 14 AWG through 12 AWG, 10 AWG, and 8 AWG, and 6 AWG conductors are classified as type THHN/THWN-2 conductors. Each Fire Alarm and Control Cable contains a green insulated grounding conductor. All conductors are cabled together with a separator tape containing the identification print legend to form the cable core. Interlocked aluminum or galvanized steel armor is applied over the entire assembly.
• Fire Alarm Cable Power Limited FPLP MC Type:  1X Technologies FPLP Type Power Limited Fire Alarm has a steel or Aluminum armor, and is color-coded RED for quick identification. The FPLP type Power Limited Fire Alarm MC Cable is 100% fully plenum-rated (Teflon FEP) for all your installations up to 300 volts. Some of our customers in the south refer to this as “Rag wire”.
